Before we grazed sheep and cattle on 60  treeless acres and barely made a living.Trees gradually changed our lives. Wind was reduced, nuts gave some income and milling added the cream

Our pines were planted in 1980 and thinning began in 1987 and were milled and peeled on site  to sell for posts. After clearing  a .5ha mill site the remainder were high pruned to 6m.   The inferior trees were milled using various old modified portable systems.Portable contract mills were also tried  but  were unprofitable .Now an updated mill can cut any size to 6m. We now season and grade structual timber ,kiln dry pine blackwood and various other hardwoods even dressing to requirements.
